This timeless Diamond Anniversary American Standard Strat could be regarded as a “closet classic”! Built in 2006, it is in immaculate condition for its age and will suit players and collectors alike.
To commemorate their 60th year of production, Fender released a collection of Anniversary instruments. Available in limited quantities and finishes, these guitars were sure to remain in-demand and revered for the decades to come.
Designed to play as good as it looks, this model sports a 9.5” radius maple fingerboard atop a comfortable, modern C-shaped maple neck. The 2-piece alder body is finished in 3-Color-Sunburst and is loaded with two Texas Special pickups (neck and middle) and a Custom Shop ‘60s bridge pickup. Combined with the synchronized 2-point tremolo bridge system, stainless steel saddles and Fender-stamped machine heads, this Strat offers inspiring tone and outstanding performance.
Finally, the rear of the headstock is adorned with a Diamond Anniversary plaque which adds an air of exclusivity about the instrument.
Cosmetically, this guitar is in excellent condition. There is light play-wear all round, a couple of flea-bites out of the headstock edge and some light oxidation observable on some of the pickguard screws. Otherwise, the frets and truss rod are great, and the backplate/trem arm are included. A shaped, Fender hard shell case is also included.
